Withdrawal Function Pro

From June 19, 2026, new EU regulations for e-commerce require customers to be able to withdraw from a purchase online through a clear and easily accessible function (often referred to as a "withdrawal button").

You do not need to purchase this Pro solution to comply with the regulations. Talex platform already includes the functionality needed for you to create your own solution that meets the legal requirements.

For example, you can:

• create a withdrawal page
• link to the page from your website and order confirmation emails
• use your own form or email address for withdrawal requests
• send automatic confirmations using an email autoresponder

For many webshops, this is entirely sufficient.

For businesses that want a ready-made solution

With Withdrawal Function Pro, Talex sets up a complete and integrated solution in your webshop.

What's Included

We set up:

• a dedicated withdrawal page
• a form where customers can submit their withdrawal request
• automatic email confirmation
• a link to the withdrawal function in the order confirmation
• information and a link on the post-purchase thank-you page

Automatic handling

When a customer submits the withdrawal form:

• the order status is automatically changed to Withdrawn
• the customer immediately receives an automatic confirmation email
• the webshop administrators receive a notification that the customer has exercised their right of withdrawal

Return handling and any refunds are then managed by the webshop according to its normal procedures.
Webshop administrators can also communicate with the customer through the RMA feature in the Talex admin panel and track the return case throughout the process.

In the administration panel, you can filter orders using the Withdrawn status to view withdrawal requests.

If you later change the order status to something else, such as Returned, Refunded, or another custom status, you can still find all withdrawal requests by enabling the option Show orders that previously had this status.

Ready-Made Texts and Customization

To make implementation as simple as possible, Talex also provides ready-made texts based on the new EU requirements.

• the order confirmation
• the thank-you page
• the automatic confirmation email

The texts on the withdrawal page, in the order confirmation, and on the thank-you page can be edited and customized to suit your business. The automatic confirmation email is configured by Talex and can be updated by us if needed.
